Propagating Buddhism, in the real sense, means introducing the Buddha’s teaching to humans who are not acquainted with it. To do so, one should first understand the mentality and social customs of such people. The Department of religious studies enlighten its students on this fact. Lessons conducted during the first two years, Diploma and B.A. first year, renders much information about the main religions prevailing in the world, with their equivalence and differences. Another benefit of studying world religions is that it encourages to lessen conflicts. In a world where pluralism is found as a common feature, understanding various believes is essential to live in collaboration and harmony with others of different faiths. This department paves the path to such unity.
